Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs young gun David Klemmer sustained a knee injury in the NSW Cup loss last Wednesday against Wyong and through the advice from the Bulldogs Medical Staff was sent to see a surgeon to get an opinion on whether the knee required surgery.
After it was earlier reported in the week through Head Physiotherapist Steve McCullagh,
“Unfortunately Klem’s damaged some cartilage in his knee…off to see the surgeon for an opinion” McCullagh said.
The results of the scan have come back and after speaking with the surgeon, the out-come is not what David and the club were after.
David underwent surgery and will be out for around 8-12 weeks.
It is disappointing for David as he made such a promising start to the season, but he will undergo an intense rehab program now to make sure he gets back to full fitness.
