Bulldogs Pound the Pavement for beyondblue

Bulldogs players and staff were up at the crack of dawn on Sunday, October 27, to pound the pavement at the relaunched RUN SYDNEY event at Sydney Olympic Park, raising much needed awareness and funds for beyondblue in the process.
On a beautiful Sunday morning the Bulldogs contingency joined over 6,000 participants in the event which consisted of three distances; the half marathon, 10km and 3km events.
With pre-season just around the corner Dale Finucane, Lachlan Burr, Harlan Alaalatoa and Corey Thompson used the event as an opportunity to get some extra training under their belt, with the players running in the shorter distance of 3km, along with staff members Frank Micali and Jessie Horin.
NYC coach Andy Patmore and Partnerships executive Andrew Mortimer pushed their limits in the 10km, with General Manager of Marketing and Consumer, Terrence Trujillo pushing through the pain barrier to complete the half marathon in a PB.
beyondblue were the official charity partner of the event, promoting exercise as a way to improve your mental health, with CEO Kate Carnell making the trip up from Melbourne to lead from the top.
Following the mornings exercise, Bulldogs in the Community joined forces with the NSW Waratahs for the Essential Kids family picnic at Cathy Freeman Park.
Josh Reynolds joined Belles members Hayley-Ann, Sarah Jayne and Erikka at the event. The group spoke with the families and kids, played games, practiced drills and met some interesting animals at the petting zoo.
Thank you to all players, staff and Belles who gave their time on the day and congratulations to all 6000 participants and event volunteers who contributed to Run Sydney!
