Daryl Halligan played 64 games for North Sydney from 1991 to 1993 as a goal kicking winger.
Daryl played for New Zealand in 20 Tests from 1992 to 1998.
In 1994, Daryl joined Canterbury and became a regular member of the first grade team for seven seasons after making his first grade debut for the club against Manly. He played in every match, was the competitions leading point scorer and played in the Grand Final against Canberra.
In 1995, Daryl played in the Premiership winning team against Manly and in 1996, played every game that season.
In 1997, Daryl played in the Preliminary Semi-Final against Penrith and in 1998, landed 30 consecutive goals to break Mick Cronin's record. He managed to convert two heart-stoppers in the 1998 Preliminary Semi-Final against Parramatta before playing in the Grand Final against Brisbane.
In 1999, Darryl's sequence of consecutive games was stopped by a cheekbone fracture. He played 86 consecutive games from 1995 to 1999. Daryl played in the 1999 Semi Final against Melbourne.
In 2000, Daryl became the first player to score 2000 first grade points and finished his career with the club as the Bulldogs highest point scorer.
In 2004, Daryl was nominated for the Berries to Bulldogs 70 Year Team of Champions.
